You Will be Taken Care Of

"If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of." -Rachel Castillo

Rachel Castillo

What she's saying here is if you choose to be a good person and do what's right you'll be taken care of. Usually the good people live good lives. The good are usually taken care of. I'm not a religious person and I'm not sure if when she says "you'll be taken care of." she means that God will take care of you and make sure all goes well for you. I think that's what she's trying to say. He will make sure you live a good life for always doing what's right and being a good person.

"In life as in football, you wont go far, unless you know where the goalposts are" -Arnold H. Glasow

What he's trying to say here is if you don't have a goal you wanna achieve (the goal being the goalpost) you'll go after it. In football you run towards the goalpost to make a touchdown. That's where you need to go if you want to get points. If there's no goalpost the players wouldn't know where to go to get the points. You're trying to get to the goalpost. That's the way you wanna go. If you have a goal, go towards it. Work to achieve it. If you don't set a goal for yourself there's no way you're gonna go far with your life.

"Only those live who do good."
-Count Leo Tolstoy

I honestly don't know what he means by this but what I can put out is that he's saying that those who do good are the ones the are truly living. You can't live life the right way if you choose to do bad all your life. What good is that? You'll live a happier life if you choose to do good. The people that do good are most likely to be happier. Those that do bad

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right." -Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein
What he is saying here is that what you do to be popular isn't always right. If you see people smoking, you shouldn't do it just so you can fit in. If you don't do it, it's because you're doing the right thing and not everyone is going to agree with you. Don't do bad things or things you know you shouldn't just so you can fit in so people will like you more. If they choose not to like you because you're not doing what they're doing, it okay. Do what you think it's right even if it means not having the most friends or having everyone like you.

A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it.
-Dr. Ben Carson
Dr. Ben Carson
What he's trying to say here is that he hated living in poverty. he thought he was born into it because he was a bad person. At first, he was the worst student in school with the worst grades. He started working hard and eventually became the best. He is now a surgeon. He worked hard. Getting out of poverty was his motivation. If you work hard for what you want, you can do it. He new what he wanted to do. He didn't give up. He just pushed himself even more.

NEVER because "You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right
-Thomas S. Monson

Thomas S. Manson is saying that if you choose to do wrong, even if you think it's right, you're still doing wrong. You can never be wrong when you're doing what's right.

Presidents Day

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government. The holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. Presidents’ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present.
The purpose of Presidents' Day is to celebrate the American presidency and remember all those who served as President of the United States. Though the original intent behind the "Presidents Day" concept was to honor both Lincoln and Washington.

Presidents’ Day is used by many patriotic and historical groups as a date for staging celebrations, reenactments and other events. A number of states also require that their schools spend the days leading up to Presidents’ Day teaching students about the accomplishments of the presidents.

Enthusiasm

"Enthusiasm makes the difference."
-Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

enthusiasm- intense and eager enjoyment, interest, or approval

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said that enthusiasm makes the difference. What he means by this is that if there's eager enjoyment in what you're doing, you're going to be good at it or that you'll be successful. If you're not enjoying what you are doing then you won't do so good at what you're doing. Make the best out of it. Have fun while doing it and make every second count. If you're not enthusiastic you probably won't do as good. But even if you do, you weren't enjoying your time doing it. So was it really worth it?
